Beacon of Love Has Found Its Forever Home
April 9, 2025
There’s something so quietly powerful about the colour blue. It calms, it soothes, it opens up space to breathe. And when I painted Beacon of Love, I was chasing exactly that — a peaceful kind of love, the gentle kind that doesn’t shout, but simply is.
And now… this piece has sold!

Beacon of Love is layered with textured blues, swirling like an open sky or the ocean on a still morning. There’s movement in the brushstrokes, but it’s soft and steady — like you’re being carried somewhere safe. Those crisp whites and little rust-coloured flecks feel like memories drifting in, and of course, the small heart near the top… well, that says it all. A quiet declaration. A steady beacon.
This painting felt like a turning point for me — not just in technique, but in what I was trying to say through paint. It’s simple, but it’s full of feeling. And I’m so honoured it resonated with someone enough to give it a place in their home.
To the lovely person who bought this piece: thank you. Every sale is a big step forward in this dream of mine — to go from hobby painter to full-time artist, one artwork at a time. I’ve set myself a goal to sell $2,000 worth of art by Christmas, and this takes me a little closer.
If you’ve been eyeing a piece or thinking of gifting original art to someone special, have a stickybeak at what’s still available in the shop. Every painting has its own little heartbeat, and maybe there’s one that’ll speak to you too.
With gratitude, joy, and a splash of blue paint on my sleeve,
Ivanka 💙
